Story Behind Biryan

In 2025 When We Started

It’s a strange thing, isn’t it? How you can climb your way up in the world, co-founding a company, leading teams, reaching benchmarks—doing what everyone says should make you happy. And yet, deep down, you feel something slipping away, piece by piece. You’re doing what you do, day in and day out, but it feels like there’s a wall between you and your work. Something’s missing. For a long time, I couldn’t shake this feeling. I tried new hobbies, looked into other businesses, and searched for anything that could ignite that fire again. Nothing worked. I’d be back at my desk, feeling more disconnected and more uncertain than ever. One night, while my wife was away, I was alone in my room at 3 a.m. – that strange hour when questions seemed to rise up from the quiet. The mind wanders. And out of nowhere, a memory surfaces: my Mother-in-law’s Biryani. This wasn't just any meal; it was the kind of biryani you’d crave after a long day. The kind of meal that, for a moment, makes everything in the world feel right. And that’s when it hit me. What if this was what I’d been searching for? Not a business plan or a career move—but the simple pursuit of something authentic, something I loved. So, I reached out to my mother-in-law to learn the recipe, and the journey began. The recipe was one thing, but the real art of it, the heart of it, took time. A lot of trial and error, a lot of humility. Each step, each mistake, each adjustment felt like a piece of that fire returning. And finally, I nailed it. That taste I’d been craving was right there in front of me after 18 failed attempts. I realized then that it wasn’t just about biryani. It was about rediscovering fire—the kind that fuels you, not just feeds you. It wasn’t about career moves or business strategies. It was about finding something real, something that made me feel alive again. And so, Biryan was born—not just as a brand, but as a testament to that pursuit. To the idea that passion isn’t found in boardrooms or balance sheets—it’s in the things that make you lose track of time, that pull you in, that remind you why you even started in the first place. Maybe for you, it’s not biryani. Maybe it’s exploring, storytelling, building something with your hands. Whatever it is—chase it. Because the best things in life don’t come from playing it safe. They come from leaning in, taking the leap, and embracing the things that set your soul on fire. For me, that fire lives in every bite of a perfect biryani. And I can’t wait to share that taste with you.
